William F. Wirkner


William F. Wirkner, 58, of Springfield, died at 8:58 p.m. Thursday June 19, 2008 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, OH. He was born July 12, 1949 in Springfield, OH to Howard W. and Catherine (Reibold) Wirkner.

Bill was an assembler at TAC Industries. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and enjoyed model trains, horseshoes, bowling and pool.

Survivors in addition to his mother, Catherine, include; 2 sisters, Peg Chapman and Mary (Kevin) Kern; 2 brothers, Charlie (Kim) Wirkner and Jim (Lisa) Wirkner all of Springfield; 8 nieces and nephews, Amy and Kurt Chapman, Lindsay and Jesse Wirkner, Allison and Andrew Kern and Bonnie and Elizabeth Funderburgh; and many dear friends and neighbors.

Friends may call in the Conroy Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the Mass at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
