William F. Walters


William F. Walters, 80, of London passed away on January 17, 2008 in his home.

He was born April 23, 1927 in Kingsport, TN a son of the late Fred and Edith (Tipton) Walters.

He served in the United States Navy and a member of the Masonic Temple. Walters retired from Wilson Freight Co. and was the number one driver accident free for 30 years. Walters was a member of the Rogersville, TN Baptist church.

He is survived by his wife, Velma (Churchwell) Walters of 61 years; son, David (Marian Snyder) Walters and step-son, Chad Bryant of London; daughter, Sandra Walters (Frank) Miller of Hilliard; grandchildren, Damon (Heidi) Dickerson of Orient; Brian (Jennifer) Dickerson of West Chester, PA, Tonja Dickerson (Joel) Wolf of Orient; 5 great-grandchildren.

Entombment will take place in Rose Hill Burial Park, Springfield. A thank you to a special friend, Max.
