The youngest of five children, he is survived by his sister, Joy Lynn and Greg Knisley, three brothers, Jack and Pam Wilson, Danny and JoAnn Wilson, and Guy and Lisa Wilson. Nieces, Christy and Kevin Thau and Erica and Nate Gudorf, nephews Tyler and Ashley Wilson, Brad and Abby Wilson, Shawn Wilson, Jason and Kim Knisley and Ryan Knisley as well as great-nephews, Collin and Ethan Gudorf and Michael Wilson. Scotty is also survived by his loving wife and "soul mate" of only one year, April Fox-Wilson and her three children, Ryan Lewis and Shannon and Elizabeth Fox as well as special friends Ron and Jane Manemann.

Scotty graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1976. He became a volunteer firefighter for New Carlisle Fire Department at the age of 19. He has served the community in which he was raised for nearly 30 years. In addition to fighting fire, he was a welder at Unison Industries. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his fire department family, friends, and co-workers.

Scotty was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, "Cookie" of 16 years.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the community and area fire departments for their contributions; Hospice of Dayton for their incomparable service; Dr. Kondagunta and the staff at the Greater Dayton Cancer Center. We couldn't have done it without your help.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday September 28, 2008 at the Lake Avenue Christian Church, 1103 West Lake Ave, New Carlisle. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with Pastor Randy Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
