Ralph. W. Watson


Ralph. W. Watson, 76, of Urbana died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at his home in Florida.

He was born in Urbana, Ohio on March 13, 1933 the son of Bert and Minnie Mae (Siegenthaler) Watson.

Ralph had been employed as an insurance agent for All State Insurance for thirty-one years retiring in 1991. He was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Member of Harmony Lodge #0008 F &AM, Grand Council Royal & Select Masons of Ohio Urbana Council #59, The Grand Chapter Royal Arch of Masons Urbana Chapter #34, member of Commandery #19 Knights Templar. He also was a past president of Northwood Hills Country Club.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years Joan W. (Winters) Watson; four children and spouses Mark E. and Lisa Watson, Cynthia and Larry Watkins all of Dublin, OH, Sally Potts, Hilliard, OH, Matt and Susie Watson, Dublin, OH; seven grandchildren Morgan, Maggie, David, Mitchell, Michael, Dean and Jonathan; two brothers and sisters-in-law Ray and Janice Watson, Powell, OH, Russell and Janis Watson, Freemont, IN; a number of nieces and nephews. His parents and a brother Roger Watson preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Dwight McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or donors favorite charity.
