Maxine Wagle


Maxine Wagle, 86, a life-long resident of Springfield, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 14, 2008 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, Fountain Campus. She was born June 11, 1922 in Clark County, Ohio the daughter of Horace A. and Opal M. (French) Rinker. Maxine was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, and spending time with the dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ray whom she married on October 6, 1945. Survivors include her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bruce and Barbara Wagle and Terry Wagle, all of Springfield; a sister, Ruby Miller with whom she made her home; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Ginger Rinker of Springfield; sisters-in-law, Cleo Jones and Kathleen Flannery, both of Springfield, and Betty Wagle of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her dog, Annie and granddogs, Dottie, Inky and Maddie.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Roger Herrig officiating. Burial will be in Vale Cemetery.
