Catherine M. Wilson


Catherine M. Wilson, 87, of Springfield, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Good Shepherd Village.

She was born in Hilliard, Ohio on February 7, 1921, the daughter of John Edward Baldwin, Jr. and Mary Alma (Davis) Baldwin.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Roy R. Wilson; her parents; sisters Betty L. Baldwin and Ruth Kinniard; and a brother, Robert Baldwin.

Catherine was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a member of Norris Chapter # 426 Order of Eastern Star, Wimodausis, and Emera Club.

Her survivors include one brother, James Baldwin of Springfield; sisters-in- law, Laura Wilson of Fairborn, Dona Wilson of Florida, and Jean Baldwin of Springfield; four children, Mary Kay McDowell of Pompano Beach, FL, Patty (Steve) Mumma of New Carlisle, Jerry (Sharon) Wilson of Pompano Beach, FL, and Cindy (John) Marino of Catawba; eight grandchildren, Kimberly McDowell of Rochester, NY, Daniel Easterday of N. Lewisburg, Donald (Tanya) Easterday of Pass Christian, MS, Kristi (Eric) Scallin of Oakland Park, FL, April (Daniel) Petito of Coral Springs, FL, Dennis (Shelley) Easterday of Catawba, Jason Wilson of Springfield, and John Reedy of Catawba; along with 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be Saturday May 3, 2008 at 2:30 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME with Rev. Ken Whitt officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
