Barbara Ruth Wilson


Barbara Ruth Wilson, 73, of Yellow Springs, died Wednesday March 25, 2009 in her residence, with her family by her side. She was born November 16, 1935, a daughter of Edward James and Margaret (Cohn) Hartman in Springfield, OH.

Barbara never turned away anyone in need, especially children. She enjoyed shopping, reading and her greatest love was sitting on the front porch with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly L. Spriggs of Yellow Springs; granddaughters, Eden Spriggs and Isabelle Mensink; sister, Virginia Martin of Springfield; sister-in-law, Nancy (Sonny) Catron; special friends, Amy Campbell and Carrie Mac; several nieces and nephews; her canine companion, Kadie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David L. Wilson; parents; brothers, James Edward Hartman and John Richard Hartman.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff from Crossroads Hospice.

Private services were held. The family is being served by the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home, Yellow Springs.
