Verna "Ann" Vest


Verna "Ann" Vest, 76 of Springfield passed away on Monday, November 12, 2007 in Heartland of Springfield.

She was born on September 6, 1931 in Washington Court House, the daughter of Granville and Clara (Michael) Stewart.

She was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother. Ann was co-owner of the National Tree Expert Company with her husband Don for more than fifty years. She was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 397, and the Union Club.

Ann is survived by her two daughters: Diana Lynn Vest of Springfield and Pamela Jane Rutherford of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Elaine Vest of Springfield, one sister, Kit Davies of Illinois, four grandchildren: Rob Vest and his wife Mindi, Kristen Vest of Springfield, Shaun Rutherford of Sheboygan, and Ryan Rutherford of Howards Grove, Wisconsin; six great grandchildren: Alexis and Andrew Vest, Caleb and Nevaeh Rutherford, and Clayton and Samura Rutherford, several nieces, nephews, cousins, many special friends and caregiver Lisa Kemplin.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband of fifty-two years, Donald Vest in 2003, two sisters, Jane Glass and Edna Harris, and one brother, Henry Stewart.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 5-8 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am with Pastor Larry Donner officiating. Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
