Ray Kemper Van Horn
Ray Kemper Van Horn, age 85, met his Lord Monday September 8, 2008.
Mr. Van Horn served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Woolsey during World War II.
He was preceded by two wives, Nellie Marie Burchnell Van Horn and Pauline Katherine Finney Jobes Van Horn.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda (Greg) Hollon and Bonnie (Ben) Frataccia; sons, Allen R. (Donna), Gary L. (Angie), Randy E. (Missy), and Paul D. (Karen) Van Horn; 16 grandchildren, Lisa, Mike, Lynsey, Angie, Jill, Eddie, Ann, Denise, Jennifer, Jason, Brandi, Bree, Blair, Kaleigh, Kollin and Ronnie; two sisters, Anita Redmond and Norma Williams; a brother, James Van Horn; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 at Jackson Lytle and Williams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Liberty Baptist Temple, 5470 Springfield-Jamestown Road. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eaglewood Care Center for their devotion and special care given to Ray.
