Ronald L. Reedy


Ronald L. Reedy, 71, of Springfield passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 in Community Hospital.

He was born October 15, 1936 in Springfield, the son of William and Harriet ( Shockey) Reedy.

Ron was retired from International Harvester.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Jean (Whitney) Reedy of Springfield, four children: John (Holly) Reedy, Springfield, Pamela Johnson, Hilliard, Jo Ann ( David ) Syck, Atlanta, Georgia, and Shari (Tim) King Exeter, California, six grandchildren; Amber ( Ralph) Ortiz (USAF CO.), Sean (Amy ) Syck (USAF, GA), Luke Deardurff, New York, Eric James Syck (USN) GA., Margaret Deardurff, Kentucky and Crystal Reedy, Ohio, one brother Jim (Martha ) Reedy, Springfield.

He was preceded in death by is parents and a sister Phyllis and her husband Jack Quinn.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Richard Blevins officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
