Phyllis Ricketts


Phyllis (Sandy) Ricketts, 70, of Springfield, passed away at home, with her family and special sister, Barbara Stevenson, by her side on Sunday, April 27, 2008.

Phyllis was born on April 16, 1938, daughter of Karl and Nola (Baugh) Kaiser. She was a dedicated member of the Golden Girls, and attended Bowlusville United Methodist Church. After retiring from Sears with 21 years, Phyllis enjoyed traveling and had a great passion for exercising and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be missed but never forgotten by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jack Ricketts; 3 children, Mike (Susan) Ricketts of Cincinnati, Mark (Vikki) Ricketts of Springfield, and Dottie (Matt) Finney of Springfield; 4 sisters, Audrey Rice of Springfield, Allene Smith of Springfield, Barbara Stevenson whom she held very dear to her heart of Springfield, and Joyce (Gerry) Morgan of Atlanta, GA; 1 brother, Roger (Joan) Kaiser of Springfield; 5 grandchildren, Camela (Andy) Wirick of AZ, Mark Thomas Ricketts of Springfield, Tyler Ricketts of Cincinnati, and twin granddaughters, Lauren and Hannah Finney of Springfield; 3 step grandchildren, Donald (Nicole) Cottrell of Springfield, Brooklyn (Steve) Radlowski of Dayton, and Natalie Ricketts of Cincinnati; 1 step great-grandson, Nicholas Cottrell; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and 4 sisters, Ruth Dixon, Betty Sokoloff, Janice Steck, and Lois Meachem.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 from 5-8 PM at JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME- SPRINGFIELD, with funeral service on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Reverend Stephen Beck officiating. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
