Paul M. Ramsey


Paul M. Ramsey, 68, of Springfield, died Sunday afternoon, January 4, 2008 in his residence following several months of failing health. He was born in Pembroke, Virginia on May 23, 1940 the son of the late William L. and Hazel E. (Shortt) Ramsey.

Paul worked as the advertising director for Chakeres Theaters for many years. He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie 397 and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Maria Y. (Cagoyong) Ramsey; seven children and spouses, Lolita (Lando) Diokno, Ramon (Beth) Millonte, Erick (Armi) Millonte, Leticia (Jim) Sturges, Luz (Sonny) Hernandez, Lourdes Arboleda, and Lisa Millonte; twenty grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, James "J.P." Ramsey of North Carolina and Bill (Linda) Ramsey of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Toops.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Paul's funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
