Marcia JoAnn Reed


Marcia JoAnn Reed, 53, of Springfield passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008. She was born June 30, 1954 in Springfield the daughter of Carl and Doris (Allender) Reed.

Marcia graduated from Town and Country Day School and worked for TAC II industries until 1993. She moved to Umatilla, Florida in 1994 and belonged to Sandy Acres Baptist Church, returning to Springfield in 2006.

Marcia leaves to cherish her memory a very special sister and brother-in-law Gayle and Ed Rose, with whom she has resided since her mother's death; a brother and sister-in-law Gene "Jake" and Bonnie "Ronnie" Carlos; special nephews Jay "Big Guy" Cook, Sr. and his wife "Kay", and John "John-John" Cook; nieces Becky (Robert) Alexander, Valerie (James) Herring and Debbie (Wes) Johnson, all of Springfield, and Kim Carlos of New York; "great nephew boys" Jay Cook, Jr. of Springfield and Jason Cook and his son Brendan of Urbana. She will be sadly missed by many.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and a half brother Larry Reed.

Friends may call Thursday from 12 Noon until 1 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Marcia's Doctor, Joseph Morman and her Nurses Becky and Robin, and special Aide Heidi.
