Joan M. (Fent) Ramirez, 67, New Paltz, New York, died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, New York.

Mrs. Ramirez was born December 25, 1939 in Springfield, the daughter of LeRoy Harold and Mary (Mann) Fent.

She married Jose Ramirez August 18, 1998 in Highland, New York. She was a waitress at The Mill Restaurant, the Urbana Country Club and was retired from Old South in Urbana.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Ramirez of New Paltz, New York; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Todd Pratt of Urbana, Ohio; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Roger and Angela Harness, Jr. of Racine, Wisconsin, Rick Harness of Reno, Nevada, Steve Harness of Richmond, Virginia; step-daughter, Dolores Ramirez of Houston, Texas; step-daughter, Paula Ramirez of Houston, Texas; step-son, Bobby Joe Ramirez of San Angelo, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Millie and Jerry Snyder of Eldridge, Iowa, Suzy and Roger Noel of Wooster, Ohio; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Lisa Fent, Roger and Marilyn Fent, Timothy Robin Fent, all of Springfield; numerous grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where the service will be held on Saturay at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Vale Cemetery.
