Harlan L. Routzahn, Jr.


Harlan L. Routzahn, Jr., 80, of Springfield passed away Tuesday morning, March 17, 2009 in the Mercy St. John's Center.

He was born September 25, 1928 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Harlan L. Sr. and Elizabeth (Rose) Routzahn.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Navistar in 1976 with 30 years of service.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary F. (Patton) Routzahn; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Jim Camden of DeGraff, Ohio and Diana and Millard Pillion of Springfield, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Mary Routzahn of Springfield, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Patricia Routzhan of Ormond by the Sea, Florida; eight grandchildren and spouses, Jim (Maranda) Camden, Andy (Morgan) Camden, Kim (Ryan) Fitch, Brent (Jenniffer) Routzahn, Tracey (Jason) Hairgrove, Zachary Pillion, Ashley (Ian) Grove and Ryan Pillion; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Donna Ann Wojchiechowski and Nancy Lee Dimitroff brother John "Jack" Routzahn and infant brother, William.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Chaplain Dale Hayes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with military honors.
