Charles R. Reynolds, Sr.


Charles R. Reynolds, Sr., 91 of Springfield and formerly of Xenia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 3, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center-East High Campus. He was born October 25, 1917 to Earl and Alta (Kenney) Reynolds in Port William, Ohio.

He was a veteran of World War II and retired from WPAFB. He was a devoted member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington, Ohio.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Reynolds of Nebraska; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Donna of Texas, Kenny and Kim, Ronald and Tami and Charles Jr. and Diane Reynolds all of Springfield; 11 granchildren, Kim, Karla, Kellie, Cari, Anda, Cory, Holly, Danielle, Dean, Zachary and Megan; seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a sister; daughter, Deborah in 1964; his wife Dorothy Ann (Reardean) in 1995 and wife Carol Sue (Goff) in 2008.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. in the Northside Baptist Church, 2425 Derr Road, Springfield, Ohio. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. in the church with Pastor Kelly McInerney officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirkwood Cemetery, London, Ohio.

Family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
