Amanda Lynne Rogers


Amanda Lynne Rogers, 20, of Springfield, died at 5:25 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 in Ohio State Medical Center. She was born March 15, 1988 in Dayton to Robert G. and Kim (Benscoter) Rogers.

She had worked as a customer service representative for the Assurant Group. She was a 2006 graduate of North High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, Marching Band, French Club, Key Club and was also a member of Job's Daughters. She later attended Clark State University and Wittenberg University.

She is survived by her mother, Kimberly Rogers; one sister, Becky Rogers; maternal grandparents, Lynne & Steve Reiss; maternal grandfather, Gary Benscoter; uncle and Godfather, James Benscoter & aunt Jessica Benscoter; cousin, Joyclynne Benscoter; aunt and Godmother, Helen Oyen & uncle Jeremy Oyen; aunts and uncles, Richard Rogers Jr., Gregory Rogers, Fred & Erica Reiss, Alex Reiss, Dr. Mimi Reis; best friends, William Stover and Janice Weaver and numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Karson Rogers, her father, paternal grandparents, Richard and Sue Ann Rogers, Sr. and maternal great grandmothers, Eleanor (Glaser) Feree and Charlotte Benscoter.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Powell officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Amanda's Heart PPCM Foundation via the Rogers family.
