Robert M. "Sunshine Bob" Palmer


Robert M. "Sunshine Bob" Palmer, 84, of Medway, died Saturday January 12, 2008 in Community Hospital.

He was born May 25, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Robert E. and Madeline Palmer.

He served his country in the United States Army. Bob was a Past Master of the H.S. Kissell Lodge 674 Free and Accepted Masons.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-one years, Harriett (Baker) Palmer; two daughters, Joyce Segur of Medway and Judy Boysel of Springfield; son, Jack Byerman of Milford; sister, Kathie Harbaugh of Springfield; trseven grandchildren, Christopher Byerman, Jeffery Boysel, Bryan Byerman, Joseph Boysel, Duke Rutherford, Dirk Byerman and Alan Boysel; twenty-five great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Richard.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008, with his grandson Rev. Joseph Boysel, officiating.

Burial will in Medway Cemetery.
