Paul M. Pierce
PFC Paul M. Pierce, 21, of New Carlisle, died unexpectedly Sunday March 22, 2009. He was born April 18, 1987 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Phil & Mary Beth (Foley) Pierce.
He graduated in 2005 from Northwestern High School and attended Northwestern University, Lima, Ohio. He was a veteran in the U.S. National Guard, Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the International Hot Rod Association and was a Division 3 Drag Racer.
He is survived by his parents, Phil & Jane Pierce of New Carlisle, Mary Beth Pierce of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Bryan & Audrey Baker of Springfield; step brother, Jake & Rondi Littlejohn of Tipp City, Ohio; grandfather, Robert A. Foley of New Carlisle; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Paul & Helen Pierce, maternal grandmother, Shirley Foley.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday March 25, 2009 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 2600 N. Limestone St., Springfield, Ohio 45503.
