Pauline "Polly Sue" Pendergraft

Pauline "Polly Sue" Pendergraft closed her eyes in this world, and woke up in the presence of her Lord and Saviour.

She was born August 25, 1930, in Springfield, the daughter of Walter Cleveland and Allene (Norris) Blake. She was certainly a collector of things and especially enjoyed Angels. Those of us who knew Polly Sue the best will remember her unbreakable spirit and incomparable strength of mind. Though she began to lose her independence, she never lost her ability to remember minute details. As time endures, we too will remember, and shall never forget her kind and gentle presence. Though it pains us greatly to let her go, we rejoice and are comforted, because we know her final destination.

She leaves to cherish her memory an extensive list of survivors, including her children Michael "Mickey" (Dale) Pendergraft, Linda (Doug) McMurtrie, Karen (Rick) Riley, Jimmie (Judy) Pendergraft, Terry (Melinda) Pendergraft, and Rhonda Clark; her twin sister Patricia (Bob) Skabla; sisters Betty Scott, and Waneta Wright; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her dear friend and roommate Nancy and an abundance of other dear relatives.

She goes on to celebrate with all of those who have gone before, including her husband Wilbur, her daughter Gina Marie, a sister Nina, a granddaughter Angel Souder, a grandson Darby Riley, and several other family members.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5pm to 8pm Wednesday in THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. We will hold a funeral ceremony at 11am Thursday in The Funeral Home, and then lay her body to rest at Ferncliff Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, we humbly request that contributions be made to The Parkinson's Disease Foundation. We the family would like to thank the medical professionals for your kindness and patience, as you helped to care for our dear Polly Sue, especially the staff at Ridgewood Nursing Home.
