Marilyn Joyce Petersen
Marilyn Joyce Petersen, 60, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Wilton, Iowa, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 8, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Hospital - East High St. Campus. She was born on October 11, 1947 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Wayne and Audrey (Kingman) Johnston.
She worked at Cato Fashion for the past ten years and was an active member of the Risen Christ Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her parents, husband of thirty-nine years, David Petersen of Springfield, son, Dan Petersen of Columbus, three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Patty and Jim Fortune of Iowa; Charlotte and Dennis Luerssen of Oklahoma; and Shirley Dahms of Iowa; one brother, Raymond Blake of Iowa, one niece and four nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, Springfield. Services will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Wilton, Iowa. Friends may also call from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Durant, Iowa.
