Mary Elaine Walker Penwell
Mary Elaine Walker Penwell passed away on February 5, 2009 at the Ohio Masonic Home. Mary was 88 years old.
She was the daughter of Ada and John Thompson and was born July 30, 1920 in Kirksville, Missouri.
Mary is survived by a daughter; Elaine Frazier, grandchildren; Marty (Ruth) Frazier and Trudy (Mark) Jernigan of Springfield, Ohio, Tini (Mike) Rimou of Corvallis, Oregon, great grandchildren; Andrew, Amanda and Aaron Jernigan, Ian, Eli Noa and Abby Frazier all of Springfield. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband; John S. Walker, a son; Jack, a daughter; Patty Ann and son in law; Ken Frazier.
Mary was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she enjoyed being part of the quilting group and helping in the kitchen.
The family would like to send a special thank you to head nurse; Joe Marx on the second floor and all the ladies that worked at the Ohio Masonic Home second floor.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009, beginning at 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Bud Rose officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Assembly of God Church, 515 South Burnett Road, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
