Miguel A. Pedraza


Miguel A. Pedraza, 75, of Springfield, died Friday, February 1, 2008 in Homestead, Florida.

He was born in Guaca, Colombia on October 28, 1932 the son of Miguel S. and Ana Rosa (Rivera) Pedraza.

He worked as a pathologist at Community Hospital for many years and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

Survivors, in addition to his mother of Colombia, include his wife, Dolores E. (Nelson); two children and spouses, Miguel A. and Kerry Pedraza, Jr. and Ana and Mark Kelly; five grandchildren, Bridget and Brennan Pedraza and Keegan, Samantha and Matthew Kelly all of Springfield and two brothers, Jose Maria "Chepe" and Hernando Pedraza both of Colombia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Ricky Pedraza.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in St. Teresa Church. A gathering of friends will be held immediately following mass at Casey's.

Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Central High School, Ohio Performing Arts Institute or Rocking Horse Center. Arrangements handled by Conroy Funeral Home.
