Melody S. Peart
Melody S. Peart, 56, of Springfield, passed away at 9:14 PM Sunday, October 12, 2008, in Mercy Medical Center.
She was born February 3, 1952 in Springfield, the daughter of Donald and Georgia (Apple) Glover. Melody was a member of the New Moorefield United Methodist Church and was involved with numerous collectible clubs and volunteering. She had been employed at Assurant.
Survivors include her husband; John Peart, two sons; John Preston (Amanda) Peart serving in Iraq and Charlie Peart of South Charleston, three grand children; Caleb, Jacob and Shaena, one sister-in-law; Shirley Glover of Urbana, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in dearth by her parents and a brother; Dwight Glover. Friends may call in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM Thursday.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in the New Moorefield United Methodist Church with Pastor Don Trumbull officiating. Additional visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services in the church. Burial will follow in Vernon Asbury Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Kidney Foundation or to the New Moorefield United Methodist Church.
