Lurlene Southall Pierce 74, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008.

She was born September 14,1933 in Meigs County, Ohio, the daughter of James Leonard and Orpha Ethel (Staats) Southall.

Lurlene was retired from Kroger Derr Road.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Newman; two granddaughters, Leslie and Carla Newman; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ethel and Errett Ball, Belleview, FL; Mae Curatolo, Charleston, WV; Ladoona Talbott, Titusville, FL, and Eileen and Jack Chesser, Auburndale, FL; special friends, Lamar Mickle, Lois Maine and Ashley Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Howard A. "Hap" Pierce; her parents; twin sons, Kenneth and Keith Pierce; three brothers, Wendell Southall, George Southall and Levi Southall; three sisters, Alice Rhodes, Lelia Cunningham, and Zona Thomas Donley.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the RICHARDS RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Orbie Estep officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
