Jean M. Purk, 86, of Springfield, died Wednesday March 4, 2009 in Villa Springfield.

She was born November 7, 1922 in McConnellsville, Ohio, the daughter of Wendell Phillips and Mary (McKibben) Wert.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Milton and Ann Fields of North Hampton; four grandchildren, Ryan Fields, Teresa Duffy, Michelle Metcalf and Allison Salyer; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Duffy, Zachary Fields, Haley Fields, Jake Salyer and Molly Metcalf.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Lewis Fields and second husband Kenneth Purk, and two brothers, Wendell P. Wert Jr. and William T. Wert.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday March 9, 2009.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
