Joseph B. Porter


Joseph B. Porter, 68, of Springfield died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Eaglewood Care Center. He was born September 11, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, OH the son of John Q. and Betty (Bradfield) Porter.

He retired from the Truck Processing Center of Navistar after twenty-five years of service.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years Suzanne A. (Rothwell) Porter, four children and spouses, Philip A. Porter, Paula and James Davis all of Springfield, Mary Beth and David Patton, Lawrenceville, OH, Erin Rae and Michael Ballard, Springfield, OH; nine grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Conroy Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard Church.
