Joyce M. Snodgrass-Pendleton


Joyce M. Snodgrass-Pendleton, 63, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 17, 2008 in her residence.

She was born on November 10, 1944 in Springfield the daughter of Roy C. and Sally V. (Daniels) Maynard.

Joyce retired from National City Bank in 1988. In 1992 she started her education to pursue a career in nursing. Following that time she worked at Eaglewood Assisted Living as a Registered Nurse for thirteen years.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Joseph Pendleton of Springfield, three daughters and sons-in-law: Julie and Michael Pence of Mechanicsburg; Sherrie and Jeffrey Leach of Mechanicsburg; Shannon and Adam Sparks of Urbana; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Angie Snodgrass of Mechanicsburg; two step daughters and sons-in-law: Kim and Gus Speros of Beavercreek; Melissa and David Stamper of Enon; one sister, Mona Bowman of Springfield, four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Jim Maynard of Paulton, Ohio; Frank and Carolyn Maynard of Dayton; Rob and Sue Maynard of Springfield; and Jack and Mary Maynard of Springfield; seventeen grandchildren: Josh, Nathan, Austin, Brandon, Kaysie, Kelsie, Justin, Madalyn, Haley, Emma, Evahn, Gabrielle, Brittani, Cigi, August, Nick, and Ashleigh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband of thirty years, George Snodgrass in 1994, one sister, Betty Grant, and one brother, Todd Maynard.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 11:30 am at the Possum Rd. Church of God, 1601 W. Possum Rd., Springfield. Friends may also call one hour prior to the time of service. Entombment will be in the Rose Hill Mausoleum.
