Joe Peca


Papa Joe Peca, 69, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in his residence.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 7, 1938, the son of Ralph Donald and Suntine Antima(Muni) Peca.

Joe retired from the city of Huntington Beach, California as a Superintendant with over 25 years of service. He was a member of the Freedom Road Community Church and was instrumental along with his wife Linda, daughter and son in law Vorita and Kenny Ackley in starting REACT Outreach, Inc. Joe was an avid golfer and loved being involved in his grandchildren's lives. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Steven Peca.

He has left to cherish his memories, his wife Linda Kay (Wellborn) Peca; five children Crystal Beckner, Vorita and Kenny Ackley, and Tonya and Scott Kimble all of Springfield; Kristy Hoefler of Cleveland, Cindy Dolan of California; four brothers and sister in law Ronald and Leslie Peca of Cleveland and Clay, Scott, and Tony Peca all of California; one sister Renee Hardiman of California; twelve grandchildren Josh, Kiersten, Jade, baby Ken, Kyle, Keith, Gabby, Abby, Angel, Scotty, Chase, and Ryan; two great-grandchildren Nevaeh Rose and Keyanna Kay; special friends Don Williams, Don Fligger, Dean Meade, Ron Johnson, Dee Craycraft, Bob Bostick, and Keith Minnick.

Memorial services will be held at Freedom Road Community Church at a later date.
