Ida Jane Pencil


Ida Jane Pencil, 101, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord Friday January 9, 2009. She was born October 14, 1907, a daughter of David E. and Mary Ann (White) Crissman in Adrian, PA.

Ida was a lifelong member of the Maiden Lane Church of God. She was a Sunday school teacher, loved music, shopping and traveling.

. She is survived by her husband Herbert Pencil, whom she married January 14, 1929; grandchildren, Lynn (Bob) Niswonger, Sondra (Ed) Todd, Sylvia (Bob) Hypes; great-grandchildren, Brian (Regina) Petrequin, Stephanie (Matt) Lewis, Amy Brewer, Crystal (Tom) Warner, Heather (John Bruce) Yamberla, Chad (Lorna) Hypes; nine great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Harold E. Pencil and Larry Pencil; sisters, Lavina Crissman, Carrie Crissman Schew, Eunice Burris; brother, Kenneth Crissman; step sisters, Mildred Kitchen, Beatrice Pencil.

Visitation will be held 5-8PM Monday January 12, 2009 in the JACKSON LYTLE WILLIAMS Funeral Home, where service will be held 1PM Tuesday January 13, 2009 with Pastor Mark Martin and Pastor Sam Wollum officiating. Interment to follow in Myers Cemetery.
