Elphie Mae Price


Elphie Mae Price, 84, of Enon, formerly of New Carlisle, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2009. Elphie was born October 1, 1924 in Charleston, Arkansas the daughter of the late Hans and Ruth (Minden) Neissl.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph D. Price; son-in-law, Homer T. Porter, Jr.; granddaughters, Rebecca & Phil Beach, Sally & Greg Carsner; great-grandchildren, Phillip Beach, Jr., Liana & Clayton Carsner; brother, Ernest Neissl; sister-in-law, Sue Neissl; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Elphie enjoyed spending time with family and her time working at Lazarus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, and her beloved daughter, Alena Porter.

She was a member of Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church in Fairborn, OH.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, with visitation prior to service from 10 to 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to any Hospice or your favorite charity.
