Donald E. Pence


Donald E. Pence, 62, of Hollywood, Florida and formerly of Columbus, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family following a hard-fought battle with ALS, Thursday morning, March 20, 2008 in the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Regina Campbell, South Vienna.

He was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 6, 1945 the son of the late Richard E. Pence and Florence Irene (Sayre) Jones.

Donald retired from managing a toll plaza on the Florida turnpike this past May. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to the afore mentioned brother, Donald is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Denny and Barb Pence of Columbus; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and John Zugelder of Springfield ad Dorene and Rob Carse of Middlebourne, West Virginia; special friends, Steve and Tina DeWine of South Vienna; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. Monday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Deacon Norm Horstman officiating.

Burial will be in Myrtle Tree Cemetery, St. Paris.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 1343 Fountain Blvd., Springfield, Ohio 45504.
