Cynthia K. "Cindy" Phillips, 59, of Springfield, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 in her residence.

She was born in Springfield on January 9, 1949 the daughter of John and Olive (Nicklas) Smoot.

She worked as a Deputy Auditor for the Clark County Auditor's Office. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Eastern Star in Greeneville, Tennessee, Animal Welfare League and . She was an avid Garage Saler and a collector of Boyd's Bears.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; two daughters, Erin Phillips of Kettering and Whitney Phillips of Springfield; brother and sister-in-law, John and Agnes Smoot and sister and brother-in-law, Lora and Mark Derr all of Springfield; grandson, Eli; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Debbie Lloyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church. Her funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the church with Pastors Dan Powell and Beverly DeBord officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Mercy Hospice. Arrangements handled by Conroy Funeral Home.
