Timothy Wayne Oty


Timothy Wayne Oty, 33, of Springfield, died unexpectedly Sunday evening, June 10, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born in London, Ohio on May 2, 1974, the son of Larry and Janice (Jeffers) Oty Sr.

Tim worked as a disc jockey for several area bars and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bowling, darts, and shooting pool.

Survivors in addition to his parents of Springfield, include his wife, Angela G. (Grant) Oty; six children, Trevor Oty, Kayley Oty, J.D. Oty, Destiny Oty, Samantha Timmons, and Tevan Timmons; grandmother, Daisy Jeffers of London; sister, Tammy (Craig) Falke of Springfield; and brother, Larry (Tabitha) Oty Jr. of Springfield. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, including special aunts, Carol "Lou Lou" (Steve) Oty, Margie Scaggs, Beverly Strader, and Joann Gullett; several nieces, nephew, and cousins including a special nephew, Anthony Oty; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hewitt and Linda Grant of Chapin, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel and Erma Oty Sr. and Guy Charles Jeffers Sr.; uncle, Sammy Oty Jr.; and a cousin, Nicole White-Gullett.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Brother John Rice officiating.

Burial will be in Somerford Cemetery.
