Robert C. Milleck


Robert C. Milleck, 84, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2008 in his residence. He was born on July 18, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Adam and Julia (Schneider) Milleck.

He served our country in the United States Army, 78th Infantry Lightening Division, 310th Infantry Battalion during World War II. He returned following the war and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He worked as a Controller for the Bonded Oil Company and then Emro Marketing for many years retiring in 1987. Rob was active with the Episcopal Church in Springfield and Piqua.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Waltraud "Traudie" Milleck, and one son, Stephen Milleck of Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Christ Episcopal Church, 409 E. High St., Springfield with the Reverend Charlotte Reed officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.

A reception will be held in the Parish Hall at Christ Episcopal Church following the burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church or Community Mercy Hospice, 1343 N. Fountain Blvd., Springfield, OH 45504. The family is being served by the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
