Maude E. Mitchell
Maude E. Mitchell, 85, of Springfield, passed away gracefully at home with her family be her side, Saturday, January 19, 2008.
She was born August 26, 1922 the daughter of Leslie R. and Rhoda Rice.
Maude was an avid reader, loved fishing, watching her hummingbirds, doing her cross stitch and working her puzzles. She was a very precious lady who loved her family dearly.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law; Joseph R. (Jeananne) Mitchell and Charles F. (Dawn) Mitchell, one daughter and son in law; Sharon (Calvin) Nicodemus, one brother, two sisters and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Charles E. Mitchell in June 2007 and a daughter Judith Ann, May 1962. Maude's family gives a very warm thank you to Dr. Alpher Sarihan, Dr. Felix Kencanna, Community Mercy Hospice of Clark County, Pastor Rick Clos and the Chronic Disease Fund for all of their help and support.
All will sadly miss her. She was not only a Wonderful Mother and Grandmother but also our best friend.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in Rose Hill Chapel with Brother Dowdy officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 AM until the time of the services. Burial will follow.
Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
