Mary Emma Matheny


Mary Emma Matheny, departed this world and transferred her residence to her heavenly mansion.

She was born December 13, 1923, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of John C. and Lulu M. (Sevitz) Ferguson.

Mary enjoyed praising The Lord and listening to gospel music. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and attending the group Women of Joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Larry Matheny, of Springfield. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Eugene Matheny; brothers Charles, Bryce, and Ray Ferguson; and a sister Martha.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 2pm Saturday in THE JONES KENNEY ZECHMAN Funeral Home and a gathering will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Newcomers Cemetery.
