Miriam Louise Lambert


Miriam Louise Lambert, 88, recently of Houston, Texas and long time resident of Enon, died Monday evening, April 6, 2009.

She was born in Springfield on November 11, 1920 the daughter of Harry A. and Hazel Grieves.

Miriam was a member of Enon United Methodist Church, a past-president of the Enon Lioness Club, Order of the Eastern Star, and volunteered at Mercy Medical Center for many years.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. (Col.) Michael and Jenny Lambert of Houston, Texas and Dr. Robert Martin and Lisa Lambert of Shiner, Texas; five grandchildren, Josh (Yvonne) Lambert, and Chelsea, Eryn, Savannah and Dylan Lambert, a cousin, Barbara Neuhardt and numerous other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 46 years, Paul V. Lambert, WWII Silver Star recipient; and infant twin daughters, Peggy and Polly.

Miriam's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with a family friend, Nancy Schlicher officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
