Donald M. Lowry


DONALD M. LOWRY, 79, of Springfield passed away Tuesday morning, May 22, 2007 in the Ohio Masonic Home.

He was born May 9, 1928 in Rose Bud, Montana, the son of Clairence H. and Bessie M. (McDaniel) Lowry.

Don was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served our country proudly during the Korean War. He will always be remembered as a very hard worker and his job was his kingdom. Don was a Sales Consultant for R.J. Matthews, worked for IMC Coporation and also for Dailey Fencing throughout his 50 year working career. He earned to awards from the Ohio Cattleman's Association and was also awarded first "Salesman of the Year".

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Donna J. (Inman) Lowry of Springfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina and Maynard Sexton of Springfield and Denise and Robert Cyrdus of Springfield; two sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Lowry Jr. of Texas and Dennis and Phyllis Lowry of California; one brother, Loren Lowry of Texas; ten grandchildren and spouses, Steven (Heather) Lowry, Mitchel Lowry, Hidi Lowry, Michelle Lowry, Jamie Lowry, Michael (Nicole) Rowe, Matthew Rowe, Amanda Keating, James Keating and Christina Bremer; six and one expected great-grandchildren, Tyler Keating, Joseph Cox, Ethan Schadi, Hanna Keating, Zander Keating and Zia Keating; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dean Lowry; and one sister, Lorella Leswer.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007 and also Friday, May 25, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be held in the Rose Hill Mausoleum with military honors to follow.
