Ellis Earl Keeton


Ellis Earl Keeton, Sr., 74, of Springfield died Saturday, January 3, 2009 in his residence. He was born in Greenup County, KY on January 5, 1934, the son of Lonnie Madison and Nora (Holbrook) Keeton.

Earl retired as a supervisor with Aetna Building Maintenance. His hobbies included fishing and watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

His survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary T. (Thompson) Keeton; two daughters Nora Keeton of Palm Beach, FL and Tina (Alan) Rife of Springfield; three sons Earl Keeton, Jr., John Keeton, and Christopher Keeton all of Springfield; three brothers Lonnie (Patty) Keeton of Cleveland, Robert (Ramona) Keeton of Springfield, and William Keeton of Jackson, MI; nine grandchildren,; and ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home, where family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
