Donald D. Jones


DONALD D. JONES, 74, of Springfield, joined his wife, Xie in heaven on Wednesday afternoon, September 19, 2007 in the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.

He was born in Springfield on May 9, 1933 the daughter of Daniel and Leora (Henderson) Jones.

Don was working as a quality control manager for Accuracy Products, Dayton. He was a member of Fielding Lodge 192 F. & A.M. and Neal Chapter 522 Order of the Eastern Star where he served as past patron.

Survivors include three children and spouses, Cathy Fent, Karen and Dave Brandenburg and Dale "Andy" and Linda Jones, all of Springfield; a sister, Marian Ervin of South Charleston; eight grandchildren, Julie (Kent) Puckett, Terry (Julie) Chiles, Tim (Bobby) Chiles, Donny (Stacey) Newell, David (Heather) Newell, Kyle (Jessica) Jones, Shawn (Mindy) Brandenburg, and Andrea Brandenburg and her fiancé, Donald; twelve great grandchildren, Christopher, Clarissa, Alana, Taylor, Shilynn, Matthew, Brett, Sarah, Natalie, Brittany, Bailey, and Kayla; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 53 years, Xie Lorene (Maxey) Jones in 2005; a sister, Marlene McCarty; a brother, Robert Jones; and a grandson, John Chiles.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor John Parr of Grace Fellowship Church officiating.

Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
