Cecil Jones III


Cecil "Butch" Jones III, 61, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2009. He was born September 3, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio a son of Cecil Jones II and Lucille Armstrong.

Mr. Jones served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Greater Grace Temple.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted daughter; Shalyne Portis-Wright, of Springfield, Ohio, his mother; Lucille Armstrong of Phoenix, Arizona, brothers; Richard (Mary) Armstrong and Larry Howard, sisters; Rev. Charme Wilkerson, all of Springfield, Ohio, Judith Stewart of Anaheim, California, Cecilia "Sally" Applin, Marianne Jones, Berneda Jones, Rebecca Jones and Vicky Jones, special niece; Joyce Wilkerson all of Phoenix, Arizona, aunts and uncles; Margaret and Leon Echols and Winifred and Clarence Miller all of Springfield, Ohio, special friend; Trina Walker and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will Friday from 6-7 p.m. in the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.
