Charles Jenkins


Charles Jenkins, 73, of Enon passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 in Dayton.

He was born September 29, 1934 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Ormond L. and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins.

Charles was retired form the U.S. Air Force and spent ten years of his military time working in the Presidential Squadron, 89th Military Aircraft Wing. He also retired from the W.P.A.F.B. 4950 Test Wing, and the AERO Club. He was a member of George Rogers Clark V.F.W. Post 8437, AM Vets Post 444, Fraternal Order of Eagles Wright Aerie Number 2641, and the Moose Lodge of Springfield.

Charles is survived by his wife, Patricia, a son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Jo Anne Jenkins of Orlando, Florida, two daughters and sons-in-law; Darla K. and Dan Wisecup of Springfield, Dena M. and Kevin Ostrowski of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, six siblings, Carol Fowler, Nancy Hicks, Carl Jenkins, Libby Stone, Loran Jenkins, Dodi Ball, Carl and Donna Dawalt, seven grandchildren; Tommy, Stephanie, Nick, Crystal, Amber, Brianna, Cavan and these angels in Charles's life; Dr. Robert R. Gardner, Dr. Joseph Lavelle, Dr. Ingrid Brown, Pat Scanlon and the staff of Hospice of Dayton.

Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday, February 2, 2008 in Adkins Funeral Home, 7055 Dayton Road, Enon with Father Charles Lang celebrant. Burial will follow the service in Enon Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 5-8 pm Friday in the funeral home.

In-lieu-of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton Ohio 45420.
