Marilyn Aldine Griffith
Marilyn Aldine Griffith, 74, of Springfield passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 7, 1934, the daughter of Harry S. and Minerva (Hildebrand) Bard. Mrs. Griffith was a full time homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas L. Griffith, Sr.; son Colten Griffith; brothers James & Charles Bard; sisters Helen Milner and Virginia Wisemandle; great-grandsons Jesse and Marcus.
She has left to cherish her memory eight children Terry (Charles) Buck, Vickie (Roland) Meddock, Debbie (Harley), Timothy (Bev) Griffith, David (Katrina) Griffith, Thomas (Brittany) Griffith, Jr., Teddy Griffith, and Trent Griffith, Sr. all of Springfield; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Sue (Bill) Mink.
She will be greatly missed by her family, because she was simply the best mother and grandmother.
Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the memorial home with John Wilson and William Bard officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
