Katherine V. Grimm


Katherine V. Grimm, 101, passed away Tuesday January 8, 2008 in Heartland Nursing Home in Springfield, Ohio.

She was born December 15, 1906 in Clark County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy and Florence (Bowser) Ream.

She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of Lawrenceville United Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Dave) Lower of Fairborn, Ohio and Janet (Ronald) Goddard of Urbana, Ohio and a daughter-in- law Patty Grimm of Springfield, Ohio, eight grandchildren: Kirt Grimm, Craig Grimm, Sandy Huxley, Carol Goddard, Dale Goddard, Sheryl Ropp, Julie Brewer and Jeff Lower, thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd O. Grimm in 1989; two sons, Robert Grimm & David Grimm; two brothers, Luther Ream & Elwood Ream.

A gathering of family & friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Art Thibeault officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lawrenceville United Church of Christ, 3880 Lawrenceville Dr., Springfield, Ohio 45502.
