Russell L. Forshey


Russell L. Forshey, 71 of Springfield, passed away at 12:40 PM Friday, January 16, 2009 in Good Shepherd Village. He was born November 12, 1937 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the son of Jay Dee and Florence (Rutledge) Forshey.

Mr. Forshey enjoyed fishing and watching movies and had been employed as a truck driver.

Survivors include one son; Cory (Jodie) Forshey, Springfield, four grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Helen (Glen) Pepple, Wilcox, Arizona, Benjamin C. (Cora) Forshey, Dora (Monk) Aikins, Springfield, Alverda (Ted) Lathey, Lubbock, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Betty Forshey and Thelma Frederick and four brothers; William, Edward, Kenneth and James.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
