Ray E. "Gene" Flannery


Ray E. "Gene" Flannery, 65, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007 at Community Hospital.

He was born July 8, 1942 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky the son of the late Lonnie & Clona (Black) Flannery. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Navistar in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis Flannery; two sons, Matthew & Greg; four grandsons, Brandon, Nicholas, Tyler and Colin; a sister, Louise Davis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Peters.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday October 29, 2007 at the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Fair View Cemetery, Mutual, Ohio.
