Robert G."Bob" Fisher
Robert G. "Bob" Fisher, 73, of Springfield, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008 in his residence after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born in Springfield, Ohio on April 15, 1934 to Joseph W. and Mary (Morris) Fisher.
He was a 1952 graduate of Plattsburgh High School, a United States Air Force veteran and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Robert was employed as an installer at Lucent Technology for 34 years.
Survivors include two children and spouse, Allan J. Fisher and Barbara (Barry) Lookabaugh, both of Springfield; one sister, Judy Thompson, Columbus; two grandchildren, Nikki (Dan) LeValley and Jason Shaw; four great grandchildren, James and Madison Shaw, Kylie Comer and Adrienne LeValley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Phyllis M. in 2002 and two brothers, James and Joe Fisher and a sister Joanne Bianchi.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday St. Bernard Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Hurst officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
