Darrell D. Fish


Darrell D. Fish, 74, of Springfield, went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 11, 2008. He was born February 2, 1934 in Marion, Ohio, the son of Leroy and Lola (Rowe) Fish.

Mr. Fish was a graduate of Marion Harding High School in the class of 1953. He had been employed at Marion Power Shovel for 17 years. He came to Springfield in 1971 and worked at Robbins and Myers and Cooper Energy. He was also the owner of D. and G. Tree Services of Springfield from 1984 until 1990. Mr. Fish had been a dedicated member of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church since 1978.

Survivors include his wife whom he loved very much Cleva Fish, a good Christian lady, three children; Sherri Lynn (Wayne) West , Mt. Victory, Ohio, Teri Jo (Jack) Gorenflo, Richwood, Ohio, Garrell Allen (Jody) Fish, Springfield, step children; Margaret (Drue) Carrigan, Cardington, Ohio, Jackie Sparks, Richmond, Indiana, Bobby Kennedy, Columbus, Ohio, Donna (Mike ) Powers, Marsha (John) Wheeler Springfield, Gerry Jo (Jackie) Weaver, Michigan, seven grand children, six great grandchildren, 14 step grand children, eight step great grand children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Burnell Fish.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Saturday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor James Reed officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Missionary Baptist Church.
