Roger Lynn Elliott


Roger Lynn Elliott, age 53, of Plano, Texas, passed away June 10, 2007 in Irving Texas. He was born June 20, 1953, in Springfield, Ohio, to Roger Lewis and Wilma Louise (Hair) Elliott.

He retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service for his country, including serving in the Persian Gulf War. He worked for Southwest Airlines for seven years as an airplane mechanic and was a member of the VFW. On March 1, 2002, he married Florence Langer in Shreveport, Louisiana, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; daughter, Heather Key and her husband Darren of Clarksville, TN; son, Jeff Elliott and his companion Mandy of Missoula, MT; daughter, Cassi Jorgensen of Three Forks, MT; loving extended family, Kathy Stevens of Seattle, Cindy Pierce of Granite Falls, WA and Clint Langer of Seattle; grandchildren, Ashlee, Harlee, Kylee, Haylee, Patrick, Kyle and Emma; sisters, Vikki Ricketts and her husband Mark of Springfield, Sharon Thurston of Michigan, and Barbara Moore and her husband Charles of Springfield; brother, Donnie Elliott and his wife Debbie of London, OH; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives; and all of his Southwest Airlines family who showed him their LUV. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; and his sister, Karen.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the 88th Air Base Wing Honor Guard, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
